Party FAQ

How has the party been improved?

Better doorprizes.
High-ticket silent auction items.
Improved directional signage.
Alumni manning key spots outside to point you to the party.
Live music.

All that on top of meeting old friends, networking with other people in your field, getting some good food, bending an elbow and checking out a very cool museum.

How much does it cost?

Students - $10 up until March 18, $20 after March 18
Alumni or former Workshop Student - $20 up until March 18, $30 after March 18

Can I bring a guest?

Yes, and that guest pays the same amount as you (TBD amount up to TBD Date, TBD Amount thereafter).

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes, but you have to do so through Student/Alumni Services. You can either call (617-227-0155, x107) or email Student/Alumni Services (studentservices@nbss.org). Please provide the following:

Your Name (as it appears on the card)
Your Credit Card Type (Visa/Mastercard/Amex/etc.)
Your Credit Card Number
Number of People You Will Be Paying For

Can I pay by check?

Yes, but the check has to arrive no later than April 30. (That means you must mail your check at least three days prior to the deadline.) For payment by check, make it out to "North Bennet Street School " and mail to:

North Bennet Street School
Student & Alumni Services
39 North Bennet Street
Boston, MA 02113

Do I get a ticket when I pay?

No. Your name is put on a list that will be checked at the door, so please bring an ID with you when you arrive. However, an email can be sent to you upon request that will serve as your receipt.

Can I bring children?

Yes. Children under 12 years of age get in for free. In fact, the museum is great for kids.

Are there refunds?

Sorry, no refunds.

How do I get there by car?

See the driving directions page for directions to the Charles River Museum of Industry, 154 Moody Street in Waltham.

Is there parking?

Yes. See parking map for locations and directions to the various parking lots, as well as walking directions to get from the parking lots to the museum..

Can I get there by public transportation?

Yes. See the public transportation page for instructions on how to get to the party via the MBTA Bus or Train as well as walking directions to get from the train station to the museum (it's just around the corner from the museum).

I've heard the Charles River Museum of Industry is hard to find. Will there be signage showing me where to go?

Yes. Because the museum is not on a main street we will have increased signage, and people posted at strategic points showing all comers where to go. If you can find where Moody Street in Waltham crosses the Charles River you'll find the party. See the map for general location of the museum and instructions on how to find the rear entrance that we will be using this time. (Hint: Follow the blue line).
