Due to flood damage we will now be using the rear entrance of the museum so please particular attention to the walking directions and map changes below. You may drive down the road to the rear entrance of the museum to drop off guests, but please note that they do ticket/tow from all the lots along that road so you should park in one of the other nearby lots highlighted below.
Parking Option #1 Drive down Moody St. Cross over the train tracks, and then cross a bridge over the Charles River. Take your first left onto Pine St. Pass the Embassy Theater on your left and take the next left onto Cooper St into the Waltham Municipal Parking Lot. There is ground level parking (covered and uncovered) as well as an upper level parking area. Walking from this area, you will cross over the Charles River on a walking bridge. Look for signs for the bridge near where the start of the covered parking area begins. After you cross the bridge, go to the right along the river. The entrance is just ahead under the tall chimney stack. Parking Option #2 & #3 There are two parking lots along the train tracks. Drive down Moody St. and either turn left at the lights onto Carter St. and park in the lot in front of the train station OR turn right just beyond the lights, but immediately before crossing the tracks into a lot along the tracks there. Walking from these areas, continue walking down Moody St., crossing the train tracks. Pass the Enterprise Rental and just before crossing the bridge, take a left onto the footpath flanked by two low granite pillars (etched with a crane). Follow the furthest footpath to the right, the river should be immediately on your right. The Charles River Museum of Industry is directly ahead at the far end of the building under the tall chimney stack. Parking Option #4 From Main St. instead of turning onto Moody St., turn the other direction onto Common St. One block down on your right you will find a parking garage. Walking from the parking garage, come back out of the garage and take a left onto Common St. Cross over Main St. onto Moody St. Cross over the train tracks and pass the Enterprise Rental. Just before crossing the bridge, take a left onto the footpath flanked by two low granite pillars (etched with a crane). Follow the furthest footpath to the right, the river should be immediately on your right. The Charles River Museum of Industry is directly ahead at the far end of the building under the tall chimney stack. Parking Option #5 Drive down Moody St. Cross over the train tracks, and then cross a bridge over the Charles River. Take your first right onto Crescent St. There is a parking lot on your left just around the bend. Walking from this lot, come back to Crescent St and walk to the right back to Moody St. Go left on Moody St, crossing the bridge over the Charles. Immediately after crossing the bridge, go right on a footpath between two low granite pillars (etched with a crane). Follow the furthest footpath to the right, the river should be immediately on your right. The Charles River Museum of Industry is directly ahead at the far end of the building under the tall chimney stack. |
