Social Events

The Alumni Council have begun a series of social activities for the NBSS alumni and students to enjoy. The goal is to provide a means for the alumni and students to continue to develop relationships with other members of the group while participating in fun and interesting activities.

January Events:

January 12, 2011 - "2nd Wednesdays Series" - Guided tour at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Join other NBSS grads for a lecture given by a current NBSS student who works at the MFA. This months guided tour will concentrate on the MFA Prints Department..  Space is limited (TBD), so you MUST contact Jason Gregoricus at studentservices@nbss.org in order to reserve your spot.

January 15, 2011 - Craft brewing with Christo Wood, (VMR, 2005) at his home in Jamaica Plain, MA. Saturday, January 15, 1-6 pm. Christo will share the techniques he has developed to optimize the brewing process in a home kitchen scale. Join a few fellow graduates to brew 5 gallons of a Scottish Mild ale. Share tasty beer and talk about making it. We will reconvene to bottle in mid-February, and all participants will be sent off with some bottles of the goods. Limited to first 4 respondents as Christo's kitchen is only so big. Email Christo at info@nbssalumni.org to reserve a spot for this event.

January 20, 2011 - The NBSS Alumni Council is sponsoring a gathering of NBSS Alumni and Students on Thursday, January 20th starting at 5:00 to 9:00 PM at The Institute of Contemporary Art, 100 Nothern Avenue, Boston. Admission is free.

The ICA is a short walk from downtown and is easily accessible by public transportation. The ICA has several interesting exhibits in addition to their core collection. On the 20th there will be:
